So Daddy gets the DVD set up and the headphones distributed and I grab the photo before we set off South on I-75. Watch out Port Canaveral here we come.
Hey look kids there's the ship!!! The Freedom of the Seas. And even though we were IN the parking area, we exited to meet Nonnie and Pop at Wendy's for some much needed lunch.
With full bellies and everyone in tow, we made it through check-in (being escorted to the FRONT of the line with the "baby in the stroller priority"). What an easy and fairly fast check in the whole process was and a BIG THANK YOU goes out to Nonnie for spending two hours on the internet checking us all in online so that it was all that much easier upon arrival!
So we finally board the ship and head to our cabins. Braxton gave it the once over and full approval! "Hey Mommy, did you see this balcony out here???"
Then, as the case on every cruise, we had to go practice where we would flee to should our ship begin to sink or some other grave catastrophe happen and we need to "bail". Braxton was WAY past his afternoon nap and Evan was being dramatic about Mom taking MORE pictures...looks like a fun group huh?! And YES..that is a Monkey Harness you see snapped on Colson...I didn't want him going overboard...and he has a tendency to wander. Pop is feverishly feeding Braxton Tic Tacs in a feeble attempt to keep him quiet. Eventually, the supervisor of our station asked if I would like to take him (Braxton) inside as he was SCREAMING so loudly that we couldn't HEAR the instructions to know what we should do in the case of an emergency. :O
Wew- after our drill was over- we headed down to deck three to explore the ship. We walked through the casino and stopped for drinks (Nonnie is over to the left getting everyone's order). We then continued our explorations, grabbed some dinner, and turned into bed early.
