We started school at Creekside Community Church on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 and now we have our first day at our new school location: Heritage Park (Tuesday, September 1, 2009). I think Evan and Ashlyn Grace, both look a little calmer now that they have a week of school under their belts. We ALL hauled into school (again) and Evan was actually LATE for the first time since he started at Cornerstone in K-4. Parking at the new facility was challenging at best and we should have left earlier because unloading all 6 of us is never a quick event! You can see Evan making his solo entrance into the Second Grade classroom at Heritage Park. (Thanks Daddy for ALL you did to secure and help renovate our new school!)

Evan has to be in class by 8:00 AM and Ashlyn Grace doesn't report to class until 8:30 AM. So we had a little extra time to check out the new building and find her cubby and room. She seems pretty excited.
Two last quick pictures before you head into class Ashlyn Grace...
What characters our two younger boys are! Colson insists on picking out his own clothes and dressing himself. He LOVES to wear that Wisconsin hat backwards (which John picked up on a business trip for Evan, originally)! Braxton is wondering where his breakfast is, because Mommy left it at home and Daddy is hoping he bent over far enough to be in the picture! :O
And, I do have to tell on myself: we pull in the parking lot (with Safety Patrol Parents directing cars like it's the Atlanta Airport) and find a place to park. I jump out, open the rear so that John can get the stroller from the trunk, walk around and open the passenger side door (to get the crayons, markers, and colored pencils I had sorted for the K-4 class, camera, purse, etc.), then I open the rear passenger door to start the unloading of the back row, slam the jump-seat down after Evan and Ashlyn Grace are out (to make it easier to get to Braxton in the middle position of the second row), grab the camera in the front seat, go to the back to get the stroller, take a quick glance at my watch and decide that Daddy can come back for supplies (because Evan is now late). So we get Braxton in the stroller, Coly on Daddy's hip, Evan is ready with his back pack, water bottle, lunch box and school supply bag, Ashlyn Grace is walking with her back pack and lunch box and we're finally headed inside. After we watched Evan run into class and found Ashlyn Grace's room, Daddy leaves the Fledglings in my care and volunteers to go back out the the car to get the supplies. (you remember the ones on the passenger side front seat) He comes back in with supplies and a big grin on his face. Guess what I did... I left the door WIDE open with my purse sitting right there in the front seat. Good news was...it was all there...and Daddy never blows a gasket...cause that could have been REALLY BAD! WEW...I think Mommy needs to S-L-O-W down.
