Awesome-Daddy-O got up, dressed for work, made a trip to Grandy's for the birthday breakfast order of pancakes and sweet tea (sweat tea is NOT a typical children's drink so it's always requested for special occasions), and arrived back home by 7:10 AM...just in time to wake the Birthday Girl with her Birthday Cupcake. As you can see Mommy had already gotten up with Braxton and gotten him dressed. I think he's a little perplexed as to what is all the hustle and bustle is for this morning! (you can click on the picture to enlarge it and see his great expression- HUH???)
So we enter the dark bedroom to present the glowing birthday cupcake. You can see the thrill as the birthday girl stirs...
No...she's not sure she's ready to get up (maybe if I turn my back on them they will go away, or at least get rid of that BRIGHT FLASH on the camera)!
Well- then she rises...and tries to focus on her cupcake and candle!
After the serenade of Happy Birthday to You, Ashlyn Grace blew out her candle and quickly (SUPER QUICK for this little girl who is NOT a morning person) made it to the table for her breakfast and presents!
First the cleaning of the birthday candle, then attack the chocolate cupcake...
As if that wasn't enough sugar, the main course consists of pancakes, smothered in syrup, a few slices of bacon and a small cup of sweet tea. How nice of her to share with Baby Braxton. (who can be like a dog roaming around the kitchen table begging for scraps to be thrown his way)
Now that massive amounts of sugar have been consumed, it's PRESENT TIME!!! First, Gracie got a robe with her name on it from Evan.
Then there was her first tankini from Colson Molson (who actually TOLD her that he got her a new bathing suit on the way to school the day before her Birthday and she didn't believe him)!
Some new summer clothes from Braxton...
And her very own Princess Jasmine outfit and shoes, so that she will be properly attired when she has dinner with the Princesses at EPCOT Norwegen Castle!
