John reported that it was a good day for catching. He brought about 30 fish in the boat but said that only 5 of his were keepers (black bass and grunt). Evan caught about 6 fish - but none were legal size to keep.
Uncle Phil has all the comforts some young guys could need while fishing in the ocean...check out this bean bags!!! What I find SO humorous about this picture is the "personality revealed in the way their life jackets are worn"!!! First note that the oldest boy, is all laid back and without a life vest on. Next we have Reidster, who is putting his on, taking it off, or adjusting it (who knows which). And then we have the COMPLETELY buckled, and probably pulled as tight as humanly possible, life vest on Evan (who likes to wear everything tight- including the belt on his jeans)! My eternal rule follower is not only all geared up- but completely buckled and burrowed in his bean bag chair!
On the ride back to shore- here were Reidster and Evan at the front..
Do you think it was a little chilly out on the water today? You would think the boy had never been in the water and has no idea how to swim. When, in reality, he is a STRONG swimmer...but an even more avid rule follower! Now let's hope that he stays that course throughout adolescence and young adulthood. :)
